Terms of Service: Reckoned Yet?

These terms govern your use of the app and its related services. By opening the app or creating a chart profile, you agree to these terms. If you do not accept them, you may not use the services.

1. Anonymity and device-locked limitations

Account structure. We do not create traditional accounts that require an email address, phone number, or password. Your usage is tied to an anonymous device token generated locally when you install the app.

Optional Sign in with Apple. Anonymous accounts can be linked to a Sign in with Apple identity for cross-device recovery. Sign-in is never required to use the app. The link is offered when you purchase additional inquiries, and through Settings → Apple ID. With Sign in with Apple linked, signing in on a new device also recovers your top-up credits and conversation history. You can sign out at any time; signing out breaks the link on that device, while your Apple ID stays linked to the underlying account on our servers until you delete it.

Device changes. Because your history, birth profiles, and any purchased query top-ups live only on the device that created them, they do not automatically sync to the cloud or migrate if you replace your phone or delete the app. Unlinked anonymous profiles that are lost due to hardware failure, app deletion, or a factory reset cannot be recovered by our team, and any unspent consumable balances are forfeited. Recurring App Store subscriptions are tied to your Apple ID and can be restored through Apple's built-in tools.

2. Subscriptions, purchases, and consumables

Billing. All transactions, subscription renewals, and payment processing are handled by Apple Inc. through your Apple ID. We do not collect or manage your credit card or billing statements.

Auto-renewal and cancellation. Monthly and yearly auto-renewing subscriptions are available, with pricing shown in the paywall before you commit. Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. To manage or cancel, go to Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions on your device, or visit https://reportaproblem.apple.com.

Consumable top-ups. You can purchase query top-up packs to add to your daily free quota. These top-ups are single-use, consumable digital items. They are used up as you submit prompts to the AI backend and have no cash value.

Refunds and cancellations. All sales of digital content, subscription terms, and query packages are final. Requests for refunds, subscription cancellations, or billing adjustments must be handled through Apple App Store support and are subject to Apple's terms. We cannot issue direct refunds ourselves.

3. Nature of service and metaphysical disclaimer

What the app does. The app uses artificial intelligence models to analyze and interpret traditional BaZi charts, luck pillars, and Oracle lots. These are historical, metaphorical, and subjective systems of traditional philosophy, not empirical data science.

No warranties. All readings, dialogues, responses, and predictive context generated by the AI are provided "as-is" for personal, cultural, and meditative use. We make no warranties about the historical accuracy, real-world usefulness, or predictive outcome of any generated text.

No substitute for professional advice. No output from this service is legal, financial, medical, or psychological advice. If you are dealing with severe personal or emotional distress, seek guidance from a certified human practitioner. Automated readings are not a replacement for professional clinical support.

If you are in crisis, please reach a qualified human. The app surfaces crisis-resource links when it detects relevant cues; use them.

4. Acceptable use and operational scope

You agree to use the dialogue features in good faith. You may not attempt to bypass query counters, reverse-engineer the local chart calculation modules, script-automate questions, or send malicious queries designed to disrupt our servers. You may not use the app to harass, impersonate, or deceive other people.

5. Intellectual property

The code, design systems, interface typography, brand stamps, and prompt structures are the intellectual property of Boxuan Cui. The readings generated in response to your individual birth profiles belong to you for personal, non-commercial use.

Classical texts. The traditional BaZi works we draw on (淵海子平, 子平真詮, 滴天髓, 三命通會) are historical and in the public domain. Our selection, translation, and interpretation of those texts is our own work and is covered by our copyright.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Boxuan Cui shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or psychological damages arising out of your use of the app, your interpretation of AI readings, or any temporary service disruptions. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the app is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

7. Termination

By you. Settings → Delete account & charts removes your data (device-local and server-side) and stops you from using the app. This is immediate and irreversible.

By us. We may suspend access from a device if you violate these terms, abuse the service, or if we are legally required to do so. Because the app is anonymous, our enforcement happens at the device level rather than at an account level.

8. Regional availability and compliance

This service runs on cloud nodes outside of mainland China. This app is not supported, sold, or intended for use within mainland China. If you access the app from another jurisdiction, you are responsible for local compliance.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

10. Dispute resolution and arbitration

Informal resolution. If an operational issue or billing disagreement arises, you agree to contact us informally at [email protected]. We will spend 30 business days trying to reach a resolution before any formal legal step is taken.

Binding arbitration. If informal resolution fails, all remaining disputes will be resolved through binding individual arbitration under the American Arbitration Association's Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court. Class actions, joint litigation, and group arbitrations are mutually waived.

Exceptions. Either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California, for claims that would not be adequately remedied by arbitration.

11. Changes to these terms

If we make a material change, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will also post a notice in the app for active users. Continuing to use the app after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
